How to Send Money to an Inmate at Monterey County Jail

1. Go to Monterey County Jail and use the lobby kiosk.

2. You must have the inmate’s 7-digit inmate number.

• You can obtain it by asking at the front desk window, or

• By searching for the inmate on the Monterey County Jail website. Click link below. https://mcso.countyofmonterey.gov/in-custody-log

3. The maximum deposit is $200 per day, plus processing fees.

• To deposit more than $200, you must wait 24 hours before making another deposit.

4. Funds deposited can be used by the inmate for phone calls and other approved services.
